Ok I'm creating an about us page and this is what I've got so far. Suggestions? I'm not looking for serious.
Once upon a time many years ago, a group of disparate folk who for one reason and another had decided to attempt to write a fifty thousand-word novel during (inter) National Novel Writing Month. Although small in number, the group arranged to meet up on the first Saturday during November. Year on year during November the group has steadily grown until the suggestion was made to meet up in the off-season.

This was met with great enthusiasm and folk readily met on the first Saturday of each month to discuss everything under the sun including writing or rather lack there of. All was well despite the inevitable dwindling of numbers during the summer months, until a fiend who I might add displayed a distinct lack of moral fibre was seen to be using a writing implement to WRITE at one of the meetings.

Attempts were made to quash this tomfoolery but like a virus this type of fiendish behaviour spread slowly through the ranks, with one individual even going so far as to suggest that the hour between 11 – 12 was officially devoted to writing (Meetings are between 12 –2). This type of waywardness should not be encouraged. Anyone seen to be seen to be writing at a meet up will be persuaded by fair means or foul to cease and desist!
